Rehabilitation Independent of Location
Medroco, which participated in the 2022 Acceleration Program in the Robotics and Healthcare Technologies category, is developing wearable technologies, robots, sensors, applications, and software specifically for sports rehabilitation and wellness. So far, Medroco has introduced approximately 5 deep technology products using their own software. One of their showcased products at Teknofest 2023 and the recipient of an award in the Acceleration category is VivePad, a rehabilitation device used for balance therapy. This device makes new rehabilitation processes both location-independent and gamified. VivePad reports the data it obtains in a technically detailed manner, making it accessible through a single platform for in-depth analysis. By doing so, Medroco aims to democratize the fields of sports, wellness, and particularly rehabilitation, enhancing service quality and standards in underdeveloped countries and meeting the increasing demands. Apart from being used in rehabilitation clinics, the product can be directly sold to individuals with cerebral palsy or any neurological condition in need of specific exercises. Additionally, it offers applications that can be used in exercise and fitness centers. It stands out as an important tool for the improvement of professional athletes’ balance. Medroco’s Technical Director, Özgün Eşim, states, “We have successfully completed the Acceleration program and are now starting the commercialization phase with investment rounds. After a few software and product tests, we will enter the commercial sales phase. However, our team will always continue to generate projects because we strive to dominate this untapped side within our company’s understanding, utilizing our high technological capabilities as much as possible.”
