Neon platforms hang in space, joined by narrow glass-like paths. You roll the disco ball by shifting your weight; each time you reach a platform the next one opens in a new direction and the lights burst with the music. The further you go the smaller the platforms and the longer the paths; leave the path and the ball falls into the void. What it trains: keeping the ball on the path asks you to move your centre of mass in small, measured steps, and to hold your balance while changing direction at the turns. Tie balance, weight transfer and coordination work to music and the repetitions add up on their own. Where it fits: balance and coordination sessions, an enjoyable warm up for group work, daily movement practice at home. There are four difficulty levels; on the easy level the edges of the path are walled, on the hard ones they are open. Professionals may use it at their own discretion for supportive exercise and data collection. How to play: with the balance platform, a motion sensor or the arm unit.
